Simply Amazing

For This layout, I used my Counterfeit Kit (Wildest Dreams). I was happy to use a lot more of the stash I put in there and everything went together well!

I'm also using a sketch from the Scrapbook Challenge Blog. (sketch 477) It had two square photos separated down the middle with a couple of blocks of paper behind them.

I loved using that border on the bottom of the page with the quote. It fit my mommy well :)
Those butterflies have adhesive in the center and pop dots on the side to make them look like they are flying off the page.

My Mini Me

Using my April Counterfeit Kit Wildest Dreams I put together another layout last night to help me get back into scrapping after my short break.

This little guy really is a mini-me. He is just as silly.

I loved how the layering turned out. I wanted to use up a lot of that kit with this layout since April is almost over! I even used the flourish stamp and pink ink on it from my mixed media kit!

Playground

This layout came together pretty quickly starting with the picture and this Echo Park playground paper that just happened to be sitting out on my desk already. It is my first layout since I got back from my honeymoon and I needed to get back into the swing of things in the craftroom!

Oh Snap: Mood Board Challenge

I made this layout for last week's Hip Kits Club challenge, which you can find on their member's Facebook page. There were lots of colors and spring themes and flowers. It helped me with the paper choices, which were all from the scrap pile except for the Pinkfresh background. There was also some cork in the mood board.

6 Going On Sixteen - Double Page Layout Challenge

Today I am sharing a double page layout I did for a challenge on the Paper Issues Facebook Page. The only requirements was that we did a double page layout. I took inspiration from the example layout in the challenge and scraplifted it.

The layout only has 2 pictures and lots of journaling cards instead of the 6 or 7 pictures the original layout had. I used two random pictures of my son going about his every day business. He cracks me up.

That's Just Lovely - Scraplift Challenge

For this challenge on the Paper Issues Facebook Group, we needed to use a layout as inspiration to scraplift from. I mimicked the bright colored background and the smaller box with white and black stripes and a centered photo and then took it from there.

These boys were very happy because I was taking them to Chuck E Cheese, which I am normally allergic to ;), because the little one started using the potty. I had to get special one - time - only permission from the doctor to go! I can't stand that place.

Bonkers: Using Vellum

For the weekly challenge this week on Shimelle's Blog, we were challenged to use vellum on our layout. Luckily I have quite a few pieces in my scraps to use up. I used lots of papers from the True Stories collection and some fantastic Scotch patterned tape my mother gifted me recently.

Easter Bunny- Cut File Challenge

Today I did a challenge from the Paper Issues Facebook Page where you had to use a cut file (it was free!) on your layout. There were a couple of pieces to choose from. I decided to go with the two Easter Eggs.

The layout came together quickly and I used those really, really old stickers from a sticker pad I bought at Michael's or AC Moore when I first started to scrapbook.

Pinch Me - Mood Board Challenge

Today I did another challenge for the March Challenges from Paper Issues on Facebook. This one was inspired by the Mood Board Challenge. I'm not so good at pulling inspiration from a Mood Board but I liked how this turned out.

Moments With You - Better Together Collection Challenge

Today I am working on a challenge using the Better Together collection by Amy Tangerine for Paper Issues

I had received some of this collection in my Hip Kit but I ended up using it so fast! I only had a few little pieces left and then some Thickers to work on this challenge.

I'm still happy with it. My little boy likes pink so I'm totally fine with putting pink on all of his pages until he starts hating the color!

My Beautiful Aunt

Playing with my Counterfeit Kit (Wildest Dreams) this morning I put together a layout with a picture of my lovely aunt who passed away a few months ago.

Excited to use more of the kit that includes stash I don't normally go for when doing my typical layouts.

We Go Together Like...

For this Paper Issues Challenge, we needed to use a card from their free monthly printable.

I decided to scrapbook a picture from a hayride we took 2 years ago near Halloween. I used some Glitz and October Afternoon products.

Our Park

Last week's Glitter Girl episode inspired me to use an Amy Tangerine 6x6 paper pad that only had a few sheets left. Other than the background, the entire page used the 6x6 pad. I still have 3 or 4 papers left from that pad and cannot wait to use them up!

April Counterfeit Kit Challenge: Wildest Dreams

This is my very first month playing the Counterfeit Kit Challenge. I picked a crazy month to start this, but hope my busy personal life won't take away from playing with this kit.

Right away I notice it isn't quite my style. I have floral and flowers but I rarely use them on my mostly-boy-focused layouts. But there is no way I am backing down from this challenge! That's why I'm here.

So I wrote down the colors right away: black, goldish, pink, and green. Then I looked at the items: doily, lace, frame, arrow, flowers, metal, butterflies, text. Then I stopped looking at the picture and moved on to my stash.

My overwhelming stash. What was I thinking? Oh boy... I recommend looking for that bold and colorful floral first to start you off. Once I found that, I was on a roll!

I am calling it Wildest Dreams because that song is currently stuck in my head and I imagine Taylor Swift is standing in a floral dress staring at the sunset somewhere with these exact colors of red lips and rosy cheeks. Yep.

A mix of manufacturers here, with some scraps from my wedding crafting. Always have to include those scraps!

Embellishments include metal pieces, vintage looking pieces, buttons, bling, tags.

Also flowers of all types, butterflies, washi tape, label stickers, doilies, gold and aqua letters.

Lots and lots of embellishment. I hope to use it all.

Finally I added some mixed media items because they had an Add On kit with those.

I'm just adding a stamp that I don't know if I've ever used with a few options for colors. The star stencil is the leftovers from actual star stickers. I wanted to use the cutout as a stencil with that dark pink mist.

And that's all for my very first Counterfeit Kit! I can't wait to see what happens with it.

Newly Engaged!

The Weekly Challenge on Shimelle's blog is using a sketch. I've definitely used this sketch before but I'm not even sure where the layout is in my many books I have so I can't compare the one I just did with it. If I find it I will update the post. I have been using quite a few sketches lately so this was no problem!

This picture is a few years old so the lovely couple in the pictures are happily married now. They were standing on the starting line in the Stadium in Olympia in this picture.

I have to say I just love using this pinked circle. It adds a nice touch.

Spring

For this Paper Issues challenge (see their facebook page), I needed to make a background with mists. My mom had just given me a stencil the night before that she had a duplicate of and thought I could use. I put it to use right away and used my mists as paint. It is super messy, but that is part of the fun.
