Sharing a layout I had started for one challenge weeks ago but didn't like where it was going so I set it aside and then was able to finish it for Hip Kit's Weekly Challenge on Facebook. The challenge was to use butterflies, flowers, or birds in a layout. I had started the background of this page with the butterflies, circles, and mist painted messily all over. I didn't know where to go from there and set it aside. I finished it off with some fussy cut flowers and a photo. I'm not in love with it but at least now it isn't sitting on my desk half-done.

Goof
One more Sketch Challenge for the SBC March Challenges and I think I'm all done until they start posting April Challenges. Oh my goodness, April is tomorrow! Lots of things are happening in April. I hope I still have time to scrap!
*I was the passenger in the car, not the driver. Just wanted to put that out there! :P
The Goof behind me is my only niece (as of right now). She is a lot of fun. We made silly faces and sent them to my fiance.

You Are Amazing
For this Challenge from the SBC blog, we needed to be inspired by the Tribal Trend.
I used different Glitz papers and embellishments. I love the colors!
I think I only have one or two more March Challenges for the SBC ones to get done if there is still time. Hopefully tomorrow!
Lake Placid
This layout was done for another Sketch Challenge on the Scrapbook Challenge Blog. The entries are due tomorrow so I'm working hard to get as much as I can done!
I used these cute 2x2 cards I had, but I can't remember who made them or where they came from... Anyway, it was fun to get most of them used on a page!
The lovely couple is my oldest sister and her husband. I took this trip solo and so they were stuck with me as a third wheel. At least now I have this layout to make up for it.
Destination Adventure
Today's layout was made using this sketch from the Scrapbook Challenge Blog. I loved the sketch because it used a line of photos down the center and I knew I could substitute a 4x6 card for one of the pictures. Anyone else have so many of these cards and not doing Project Life? I do pocket page style albums (one for Christmas and one for my high school pictures) but I don't do the standard Project Life everyday. I still somehow keep collecting these cards!
I used Shimelle's True Stories line and a map from the Sesame Place theme park (Langhorne) to show where we were when the photos were taken.
I busted out my Cuttlebug, too! I love using tools that I don't think to use with every layout! This pinked circle set is one of my favorites. This one is called Darice Nesting Scallop Circles. As you can see, they are more sharp than a scallop circle, but who am I to judge?
Thank you for stopping by to see my work!
Loves 2 Swim
Today I'm sharing a layout I made for a Sketch Challenge at Paper Issues. The Sketch had 1 photo and lots of layered papers.
I used papers from an old Cosmo Cricket collection called Summer Love. I used some washi tape strips from Pinkfresh Felicity Collection as well.
Is anyone else ready for summer? I'm counting down the days to my honeymoon in Jamaica - so excited to go swimming!

Handsome Little Man
I have another March Paper Issues challenge today to share. This time we had to scraplift this layout. I had a lot of fun with this one!
I am so excited I finally got to use these pictures from a photoshoot I did with my son 3 years ago.

I Love You
Working on another Paper Issues March Challenge, this time a Product Spotlight featuring the Pink Paislee C'est La Vie collection. Luckily, I have plenty from both my Citrus Twist Kit and Hip Kit.
I have to say that I love the gold trend. I have so much of it now and I am not getting tired of it at all. In fact, there are gold accents everywhere in our upcoming wedding (22 days!).
In addition to the C'est La Vie collection, I also used some older Pink Paislee papers from the Pen Pals collection as well as some other embellishments I had from my kits.

Walk With My Love
Today I decided to take on a Paper Issues March Challenge. You can find their challenges on their Facebook page in the Photo Album. This one was called a "Take Five Challenge".
They gave you a list of items to pick from and include in your layout. There were so many options that I think I ended up doing more than 5! Let's see - the color yellow, the color white, the color blue, polka dots, a cloud, enamel dots, a title, 2 patterned papers, there is a flower on that one embellishment, something silver (part of the title), and an animal. that's 11 out of the 14! Nice!

Rainy Rome
It might seem like I'm on a roll right now. I'm determined to keep up with the current challenges on just a couple of blogs and scrapping makes me happy and calm!
This is a layout I made for SBC's Sketch #473.
Hello There Funny Face
Shimelle's Weekly Challenge this week was to use a black and white photo.
I have been holding onto this picture for a while, knowing that I wanted to use all those mustache papers and embellishments I had. Of course I had to hunt down all of those items in my stash but I found a good amount to use. This was just the motivation I needed to get it done!
I used a lot from Glitz Dapper Dan collection. It has very good colors for more masculine themes. Sometimes you want to use those! Most of the time I just use pinks and blues anyway. I suppose Glitz Designs has vanished. I can't find any information on them.
Bachelorette
I'm so excited about how much inspiration I'm getting from these challenges! Here is another sketch from the SBC blog that had me scrapbooking an old photo I wasn't sure would ever make it into an album.
Even more exciting is that this was made from scraps from my other pages and ridiculously old baseball stickers I got from my very first days of scrapbooking some time between 2004 and 2005. I call this a win.

Family Forever
Worked on this layout tonight for another sketch challenge on the Scrapbook Challenges blog.
I usually only use one or two 4x6 pictures on a page. I love how these challenges have been making me change it up! I am on a roll!
These pictures are of my sweet nephew holding my son. He was just so happy to get to hold him. Nowadays I don't think he would be too excited! They're getting big now!
Hello Adorable Boy
Moving right along with the March SBC Challenges, this time I took on a Pattern Challenge using Chevron.
This photo is over 6 years old. I am really trying hard not to print any new photos until I scrap more of the ones I already have printed.
Smile
I've done another challenge from the SBC blog, this time using a mood board. I used my March Citrus Twist kit.

Fatima Fair
Here is another challenge from the SBC blog with a sketch. This time it is a double page layout. I don't normally do double page but this one had such pretty colors I was glad to keep them going over two pages! I used some more of my February Hip Kit and some of Shimelle's StarShine collection.

I Love Today
Perhaps I've been living under a rock - I never heard of this Blog before but I'm glad I found it! It is called Scrapbook Challenges. I went to the first post I saw and took on the challenge. It was a nice and simple sketch.
I used my February Hip Kit for this one.

Hello Hello
Playing with my Hip Kit today. I believe this was the February kit. I noticed a lot of Hellos in the kit so I put them all to use. Does everyone else feel like they have an overload of scrapbook embellishments that say "Hello"? I suppose I should make some cards with them all!
