SS16 Sketch 5: Love, We're Engaged!

I did this layout for one of the Sizzlin' Summer sketches on the SBC blog. I used my August Counterfeit Kit and some photos from the engagement shoot we had last August!

Sketch 493: Hello, Beautiful

This layout was done in response to the Sketch Challenge 493 on the SBC blog. I used my August Counterfeit Kit. I was also trying to use my pristine stamps, which was a challenge from a class I am taking - but I totally messed up one of the words after the layout was done! Oh, well. At least my friend looks pretty in her dress.

SS 16 Sketch 3: Dream

For this challenge, I followed along with the SBC Blog's Sizzlin' Summer Sketch 3.  I used my August Counterfeit Kit. I had included a lot of dress making papers and decided to scrapbook some photos of one of my dress fittings. The sketch had these long vertical lines that reminded me of rulers, so it all worked together!

Mood Board Challenge: First Timer

For the Paper Issues Facebook Mood Board Challenge, I pulled out my Counterfeit Kit and got to work on these pictures I've had printed for a long time. They're of my son roller skating for the first time and I knew I had this roller skate paper but I never took the time to find it and the photos and get the story down. I was inspired by the roller skates in the mood board to do just that, and the color scheme was pretty and already in my counterfeit kit so I went with it!

Isn't She Lovely: August Counterfeit Kit

I skipped a lot of challenges in July and am back here now with the August Counterfeit Kit Challenge.

The kit they were taking inspiration from this month is from a German-based company called Papier Werkstatt.

It has a lot of neutrals, a black, and a bit of pink and aqua. I swear I saw a bit! I really only went with the colors and overall feel of this kit before making mine. I call it "Isn't She Lovely" and I already have a few ideas of what pictures I plan to scrapbook this month. I hope to share soon!

I may have gone a bit overboard with the embellishments but I had so many things I wanted to include. Options! I figured with all the paper I pulled I would have a ton of layouts to work with...

I often forget I have 12x12 embellishment sheets like these but I moved them to a better spot and found 3 I wanted to include right away.

I have to get some use out of my 6x6 paper pads so I made sure to include a lot of these as well.

Yes! More stickers and embellishments.

Oh, right. The paper. I love the aqua and pinks and neutrals. Very excited to use this.

Keeping it all together until I can clear a space on my desk for everything.

Thanks for stopping by!
