Shimelle's Return to the Collection

I am taking Shimelle's new class Return to the Collection and am loving it so far. It got me scrapping right away. Here is a layout I did using her class and following along with the prompts. 

I highly recommend her classes. They're so much fun!

All of the Lights

My challenge to myself today was to use some branding strips on my page and to use these old snow flakes from Jolee's that I had. I mixed it in with some Crate Paper and Studio Calico papers along with some papers from a 6 x 6 pad and a 3 x 4 journaling card. 

Photobooth Madness

I wanted to use some scraps I had in my scrap bin and some new die cuts and background paper I got for Christmas. I like all the repeating patterns and colors here. Also, I love those enamel hearts! I can't resist using 3x4 cards on my layouts.

Let the Fun Begin and Trains of Sea Isle

I love to mix old products and different manufacturers. I play this game where I make someone pick something out of my craft stash- paper, embellishment, picture - anything. This started with the bottle cap badges that I had never opened. I wanted to use at least some of them! The page is pretty simple. 

My son picked out all six of these train pictures so I figured I had to do a double layout. One of his favorite colors is yellow and there is yellow in the train so I got out some colored card stock I never seem to use, old train stickers, and some label stickers and tickets. 

I am trying to get into the habit of using up my stash again this way. I end up making so many more pages and feeling satisfied that I actually used some of the things I bought so long ago.

Lucky Love and Nana

Yesterday I was able to scrap a few pages and decided I'd share. I had a 12x12 paper pad of Amy Tangerine Sketchbook and I took all the different patterns and just randomly cut them up into different sizes. It makes scrapping so much faster, I swear. I've been challenging myself to do this with different collection pads so that I actually use up every last piece. Here are two of the layouts I made with the collection, among many others.
